Our founding fathers established an American government where three branches had equal power. The Legislative branch makes the laws. The Administrative branch administers the laws and the Supreme Court determines the legality of the laws. Each has its own powers and responsibilities. But, the ultimate power and responsibility lies with the citizens. It is your voice and your vote that help direct policy and choose the leaders. Without the participation of the people, the representative republic could become an oligarchy, where a few corrupt individuals exhibit absolute rule over the masses.
Regardless of where you stand on the issues, your participation is paramount in the continued health and success of the great American experiment started in 1776.
